Teh breaks own mark in pole vault

The Saddleback women's track & field team was in action on Friday at the Arnie Robinson Invitational at San Diego Mesa College.  The Bobcats set one new program record when Isabelle Teh broke her own record in the pole vault.

Teh was successful at clearing 3.60 meters (11' 9.75") to break her own record of 3.58 meters set at the Orange Coast Classic two weeks earlier.  She is now tied for the second best vault in the state this season, just behind Mt. San Antonio's Kaitlyn Swenson (3.75 m).

Another with a personal-best on Friday was Jolie Robinson, who was second in the triple jump on Friday.  Robinson leaped 11.56 meters (37' 11.25") and now has the third best jump in program history.  She is second in the state this season behind Mt. San Antonio's Ahnyx Bush, who jumped 11.93 meters (39' 1.75") on Friday.  Robinson wasn't alone for Saddleback in the triple jump as Rachel Whitten (10.83 m) and Chelsea Kerr (10.72 m) both had personal-bests in finishing fourth and fifth, respectively.  Whitten also cleared 1.50 meters in the high jump to finish second on Friday.

Danielle Lister set a new personal-best in the discus with a toss of 40.78 meters (133' 9") to finish second in the event.  The throw by Lister moved her all the way up to No. 4 in the state this year.

Saddleback women's track & field will be back in action on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Southern California Multi Event Championships at El Camino College.  They will also compete in the Glendale Invitational on Saturday.
