The Saddleback women’s tennis team had a great day on Thursday at the 3C2A State Tennis Tournament in Ojai, California. The Bobcats had one pair move to the round of 32 while Ainsley Beresford won two matches in singles play.

The Orange Empire Conference women’s tennis tournament was cut short due to wet weather this week, but the tournament went long enough to determine state qualifiers. Saddleback had two doubles teams move forward to the state tournament at Ojai in late April.

The Saddleback women’s tennis team saw its playoff run come to an end with a 2-7 defeat at Bakersfield College on Tuesday in Bakersfield. The Bobcats will now have individuals and doubles teams compete at the state tournament at the end of the month.

The Saddleback women’s tennis team qualified for the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Regional Playoffs and will travel to Bakersfield College for a quarterfinals match on Tuesday. The berth in the playoffs was the first since 2011.
