So long old friend

The Saddleback athletics department was saddened to hear of the passing of former women's tennis coach Jay Amos earlier in the week.

Amos coached the Saddleback program from 2001 to 2021.  During his tenure at Saddleback, the team won seven Orange Empire Conference titles and won the only state title in the history of the program in 2010 when they went 18-0.  He was a 7-time OEC Coach-of-the-Year during his tenure, finishing in the top-5 at the Southern California Regional Tournament on eight occasions.  Amos finished with an overall record of 200-117 in 21 seasons.
