Wright is the latest commitment

The Saddleback women's soccer program was back in the news this week with the announcement that another player from the 2023 squad has committed to a four-year program.  Sophomore Alexis Wright will continue her soccer career at UC Merced, according to the soccer office.

Wright was an All-Orange Empire Conference Second Team selection this past season after finishing with five goals and five assists in 22 games for the Bobcats.  Previous to Saddleback, Wright played in 11 games at San Francisco State University in 2022.

UC Merced is located in Merced, California, and plays under the NAIA umbrella within the California Pacific Conference.   The Golden Bobcats finished 16-3 last season, making it to the second round of the NAIA playoffs.

Wright is the fifth member of the 2023 team to commit to a four-year university this off-season.
