Women’s soccer tabbed the 2-seed

The Saddleback women's soccer team was named the No. 2 seed for the upcoming 3C2A Southern California Regional Tournament, which starts this week.  The Bobcats will open this Saturday against the winner of Los Angeles Pierce College (15) and Antelope Valley College (18), who play on Thursday in the opening round of the playoffs.

Saddleback enters the playoffs on a 27-game unbeaten streak, last losing on November 4 of last season.   The Bobcats outscored opponents 84-6 in 2023 and recorded 15 shutouts.  At one point the team held the opponents scoreless for 677 minutes during a shutout streak that spanned over 6+ games. 

Saddleback is 19-0-1 entering the playoffs.  The Bobcats went 13-0-1 in Orange Empire Conference, winning their second conference title in three years.

Two other teams from the Orange Empire Conference made the tournament in Cypress College and Santiago Canyon College.  Cypress was named the No. 6 seed and will host Santiago Canyon, who was named the No. 11 seed for the playoffs.
