De Loera headlines all-conference selections

The Saddleback women's soccer team had seven players selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference Team at the coaches meeting following the regular season.  Forward Lizbeth De Loera led the team, being named Offensive MVP.

De Loera led Saddleback with 12 goals during the conference schedule and now has a team-leading 16 goals heading into the state tournament.  She scored in 9-of-14 Orange Empire Conference (OEC) games and had two goals in a game on three occasions.  De Loera's biggest game during the conference schedule came against Irvine Valley when she tallied two goals and an assist against the Lasers on October 18.

Six other players were selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference Team.  Averee Campos, Zoe Chung and Kylie Beu were selected to the first team while Chloe Green, Alyssa Sims and Alexa Livingstone made the second team.

Campos currently has three goals and 12 assists on the year, tying the school record for assists in a season.  She also tied the record for assists in a game when she had three against Irvine Valley on October 18.

Chung was a pillar in the middle of the field for Saddleback, and was used on the majority of corner kicks and set plays.  She currently has one goal and five assists heading into the state tournament.

Beu was selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference First Team for a second straight season.  She is third on the team in goals with 11 for the season and scored seven during the conference schedule. 

Green, Sims and Livingstone are all in their first season of play for the Bobcats.  Green is currently second on the team with 14 goals for the season.  Sims was a force in the defensive end for Saddleback and part of a defense that has allowed just 13 goals to date.  Livingstone is sixth on the team in scoring with five goals and four assists heading into the state tournament.
