Messina off to Mercy

The Saddleback women's soccer program was back in the news this week with the announcement of a player committing to a four-year university.  Freshman Isabella Messina gave a commitment to Mercy College in New York this week.

Messina played a big part in the success of the team this past season, playing in 21 games for the Bobcats.  She contributed one goal and three assists on offense while helping the defense to its greatest season in program history. 

Messina will play at Mercy College, located in Dobbs Ferry, New York.  The Mavericks play an NCAA D2 schedule within the East Coast Conference.  Mercy tied for the ECC championship in 2021 and made it to the third round of the NCAA DII East Regional. 

Messina came to Saddleback from Ocean View High School where she lettered in soccer, cross country and track before graduating in 2021.
