The Saddleback women's soccer team improved to 16-1-2 on the season with a 4-0 win at Fullerton College on Tuesday in Fullerton.  The Bobcats are now tied for first place after Cypress College upset Santiago Canyon College in other Orange Empire Conference play.

Saddleback wasted no time on Tuesday, scoring twice in the opening eight minutes of the game to take the home crowd out of the game.  Lacy Ruston scored off a pass from Kylie Beu in the 4th minute for the opening score of the game and then Beu (pictured) took a pass from Maliyah Medley and made it 2-0 in the 8th minute.

Saddleback tacked on two more goals in the second half for a decisive 4-0 win.  Samantha Villasenor was awarded a penalty kick in the 48th minute and found the upper right corner of the net for a 3-0 lead.  Camryn Marshall then got into the books with a goal in the 67th minute when she took a deflection off a shot from Genesis Long and rifled it into the net for a 4-0 lead.

Saddleback has one more game remaining on the regular season schedule as they will play inter-district rival Irvine Valley College on Friday at the Great Park in Irvine.  The Bobcats and Lasers are scheduled to start at 3:00 PM.

Saddleback now finds themselves in a tie for first place in the OEC standings after Cypress defeated Santiago Canyon, 2-0, on Tuesday.  The Bobcats and Chargers are now tied atop the standings with Santiago Canyon sitting one point back in third place.  Cypress closes the season at Fullerton on Friday while Santiago Canyon finishes at Golden West.
