Bobcats win by 31 shots

The Saddleback women's golf team raced to a 31-stroke victory on Wednesday in Orange Empire Conference play at Soboba Springs Golf Club in San Jacinto.  The Bobcats shot 324 as a team.

Saddleback has already opened up a four-game lead in the Orange Empire Conference standings through two matches.  The Bobcats were consistent on Wednesday, with four players shooting 83-or-lower on the par-72 trek.

Karissa Flores (left) and Nicole Whipple (right) led Saddleback with rounds of +7 (79) for the day.  Flores and Whipple finished tied for fifth in medalist play, with Cuyamaca College's Isabella Barba leading the way with a round of 76.  Kenzie Edson and Sabrina Ladd rounded out the team scorecard with rounds of +11 (83). 

Saddleback shot 324 as a team to finish 31 shots in front of Fullerton College.  The Bobcats will now have some time off before returning to Orange Empire Conference play on September 26 at Costa Mesa Country Club (Mesa Linda).
