Bobcats open fast in OEC play

The Saddleback women's golf team opened the Orange Empire Conference season with a win at Ironwood Country Club in Palm Desert on Monday.  Nicole Whipple led the Bobcats with a round of 76.

Whipple shot +5 on the par-71 trek to finish in third place in medalist play.  She has shot 79-77-76 through three rounds of competition in 2022 to lead the Bobcats.

Following Whipple on Monday was Kenzie Edson (82), Caitlin Randolph (83) and Karissa Flores (83).  The Bobcats shot 324 as a team to finish 29 shots in front of second place Orange Coast College.

Saddleback will play again on Wednesday in a non-conference tournament when they travel to Cottonwood Golf Course for the Cuyamaca College Classic.  The Bobcats are scheduled to tee off at 11:00 AM.
