Bobcats still rolling

The Saddleback women's golf team remained perfect for the year in winning its sixth straight match to start the 2021 campaign.  Nicole Whipple led the Bobcats, who are now 36-0 in Orange Empire Conference play.

Whipple (pictured) carded a 10-over-par round of 80 on Monday at the par-70 Coyote Hills Golf Course in Fullerton.  The round was good enough for second place in medalist play and was the fourth best round of the season for Whipple. 

Following Whipple were a round of 85 from Sabrina Ladd and rounds of 87 from Amber Davalos, Mariana Gandia-Mak and Kenzie Edson. 

Saddleback now holds a seven-game lead over Orange Coast after the Pirates finished third on Monday.  The Orange Empire Conference has two remaining regular season matches and the OEC Finals, which is two rounds of golf. 

Saddleback will play again on Wednesday at El Prado Golf Course in Chino Hills.
