Bobcats post third straight win

The Saddleback women's golf team won its third straight tournament to start the season on Monday in Costa Mesa.  Sabrina Ladd led the way, shooting a 6-over-par round of 76.

Saddleback is out to a quick start in Orange Empire Conference play.  The Bobcats were 21 strokes in front of host Orange Coast College on Monday, playing at Costa Mesa Country Club.

Ladd finished second for medalist honors behind Orange Coast's Meah Collins (72).  The freshman from Coronado High School led a Bobcats lineup that featured three players in the 70's.

Following Ladd were Amber Davalos and Nicole Whipple, who both shot 79.  Saddleback's fourth score of the day belonged to Mariana Gandia-Mak, who posted an 84.

Saddleback will play again next Wednesday when they travel to Menifee Lakes for an OEC neutral match.  The first tee time is scheduled for 11:00 AM.
