Dillon wins at San Diego Kickoff
The Saddleback men's cross country team finished in second place at the San Diego Kickoff on Friday at Harry Griffith Park in San Diego. Freshman Eric Dillon was on fire, winning individually medley honors.
Dillon covered the 5k-trek in 16:46 to win by three seconds. He was one of four Saddleback harriers to finish in the top 10, in a race featuring 35 runners..
Jaeden Cornejo finished fifth when he crossed the finish line in 16:59. Mitch Groff finished eighth (17:37) while Darin Hoi was ninth (17:44). Devin Martinez finished off the team scoring with a 20th place finish (20:07).
Saddleback finished second as a team with 43 total points. Cuyamaca won the team event with a score of 30.
Saddleback will be back in action on September 15 at the SoCal Preview in Long Beach.
