Bobcats dominate home tournament

The Saddleback men's water polo team won four straight games at the Saddleback Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Saddleback Aquatics Center.  The Bobcats are now 10-1 for the season.

Saddleback was clearly the best team at the event, outscoring its four opponents 79-22 for the weekend.  The Bobcats opened with a 21-2 win over Santa Monica College on Friday and then defeated Southwestern College, 18-8, to finish the day.  Saddleback then scored a 25-7 win over Modesto College on Saturday morning and finished with a 15-5 win against Merced College in the afternoon.

Saddleback had an amazing weekend from Donald Robertson, who scored a team-high 25 goals for the tournament.  Robertson had 16 goals on Saturday, scoring nine goals against Modesto on Saturday morning.  Robertson now has 57 goals on the season, which is the second highest number in the state.

Joining Robertson with double-digit goals for the weekend were Alec Isaacman and Bradley Pearce, who both finished with 11 goals for the weekend.

Saddleback is back in the water this Wednesday when they resume Orange Empire Conference play at Cypress College at 4:00 PM.
