The Saddleback men's water polo team opened the 2022 campaign with a 12-10 win against Ottawa University (AZ) on Saturday at the Saddleback Aquatics Center. The Bobcats are coming off of a season where they finished third in the state.
Saddleback had four goals from Donald Robertson in the win. The Bobcats took the lead late in the first quarter when Robertson scored with 2:19 remaining for a 5-4 advantage. It was the first of four straight goals for the Bobcats, who eventually opened up an 11-5 advantage early in the fourth quarter.
Alec Isaacman scored three goals in the win while Ryan Verzani (pictured) and Carson Williams scored two apiece.
Saddleback will be back in action at the Golden West Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Bobcats open against Cerritos College on Friday morning at 9:50.
