Bobcats garner 3-seed for SoCal Playoffs

The Saddleback men's water polo team was named the 3-seed for the upcoming California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Regional Tournament on Sunday. The Bobcats will play in the quarterfinals against Cerritos College on Friday.
Saddleback enters the tournament at 25-6 overall after finishing second in the Orange Empire Conference this past week. The Bobcats open against Cerritos College in the quarterfinals, a program they beat twice this season.
Saddleback defeated Cerritos early in the season, 16-10, when Riley Kraatz, Alec Isaacman and Andrew Barnuevo all scored three goals apiece for the Bobcats. Saddleback then defeated Cerritos, 10-8, in the Southwestern College Tournament two weeks ago behind 15 saves from Jacob Idris in goal. The Bobcats never trailed in either game against the Falcons.
The Orange Empire Conference had four teams make the 10-team field. Golden West took home the top seed in the tournament, followed by Saddleback (3), Orange Coast (5) and Riverside City (8).
Saddleback and Cerritos are scheduled to start at 12:30 PM on Friday at Southwestern College.
