Bobcats blast Cypress in the pool

The Saddleback men's water polo defeated Cypress College, 20-7, on Wednesday afternoon inside the Saddleback Aquatics Center.  The Bobcats jumped out to a big lead and never looked back.

Saddleback fell behind 1-0 but then proceeded to score 11 straight goals in taking a 10-goal lead with under a minute to play in the first half.  Alec Isaacman had five first half goals as the Bobcats put the game out of reach before the intermission.

Saddleback stretched the lead to 13 at one point during the fourth quarter after Aidan Caporicci connected on his second goal of the game at 5:01 of the fourth quarter.  The Bobcats had it on cruise control the rest of the way in streaking to a 20-7 win.

Nathan James played the entire game in net, recording six saves.

Saddleback is now 12-3 on the season and 2-1 in Orange Empire Conference play.  The Bobcats have the rest of the week off before traveling to Orange Coast College next Wednesday for a 3:00 PM game against the Pirates.
