Gatta gotta deal with Concordia

The Saddleback men's track & field program was back in the news on Friday as a member of the 2022 squad has committed to a four-year university.  Throws specialist Sam Gatta will attend Concordia University in Irvine.

Gatta had a big season for Saddleback, finishing sixth in the state in the shot put at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Finals last month.  Gatta also finished third at the Orange Empire Conference Finals earlier in the month.

Gatta will head to Concordia College in Irvine.  The Eagles compete at the NCAA DII level as a part of the Pacific West Conference. 

Gatta lettered in track & field and football at Portola High School in Irvine.  He was also a part of the football program at Saddleback.
