Frailey 7th in opening event
The 2023 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Swimming and Dive Meet opened on Thursday at East Los Angeles College. Saddleback's Jacob Frailey finished seventh to open the meet for the Bobcats.
Frailey was competing in the 3-meter dive competition on Thursday night. He was one of seven divers to score 200-or-more points when he finished with a score of 201.05. In comparison, no diver finished with 200+ points in 2022.
Frailey entered the meet as the champion from the Orange Empire Conference. He will compete again in the 1-meter dive on Friday night. Joining Frailey from Saddleback on Friday will be Chase Campbell, who will compete in the 400 Individual Medley and 100 Backstroke. Campbell will also compete in the 200 Breaststroke on Saturday.
Saddleback picked up 12 team points as a result of the finish from Frailey. The Bobcats are currently in 20th place as a team.
