Men’s swim 4th at OEC Finals

The men's swimming and dive team finished fourth at the Orange Empire Conference Finals on Saturday at Golden West College.  The Bobcats had six finishes in the top-6 for the week.

Saddleback had a pair of wins from Jacob Frailey, who continued to dominate in diving.  Frailey won the 1-meter competition with 183 points while winning the 3-meter competition with 191 points.   Following the meet, Frailey was named the OEC Male Diver-of-the-Year (image below with coach Todd Mulzet).

Chase Campbell had another sensational meet for Saddleback, finishing in the top-6 in three separate events.  Campbell finished second in both the 100 Breaststroke (59.85) and 200 Breaststroke (2:11.05) while finishing sixth in the 400 Individual Medley (4:19.67).  All three times were season-bests for Campbell and both times in the breaststroke put him in the top-15, all-time, in Saddleback history.

Another with a top-6 performance was Will Prawira, who finished sixth in the 200 Breaststroke when he touched the pad at 2:19.59.

Saddleback finished with 419 points as a team to finish fourth among the five programs on hand for the finals.

Saddleback will compete again at the CCCAA State Finals at East Los Angeles College on May 4-6.
