Bobcats improve to 25-0

The Saddleback men's golf team kept its unbeaten streak alive with a win at Los Serranos Golf Club on Wednesday in Chino Hills.  Denis Watson shot 69 as the Bobcats improved to 25-0 in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play.

Saddleback lined up against all nine teams from the OEC on Wednesday in the first of two neutral matches, which includes teams from both the Coastal and Inland Divisions.  The Bobcats walked away with a six stroke victory after shooting even par (360) to go 9-0 for the day.

Watson (pictured) was one of two Saddleback players to shoot under par, finishing at -3 (69) to finish second in medalist play behind Riverside City College's Bingcheng Zheng (67).  Arthur Hess was the second Bobcat to finish under par when he got back to the clubhouse at -1 (71) to finish in a tie for fourth place in medalist play.

Rounding out the team scorecard for Saddleback were Declan Lane (73), Clayton Smith (73) and Jack Shipton (74).

The 360 total was the second best team score of the season after shooting -7 last week at Costa Mesa Golf Club, and the second straight round of even par or better.

Saddleback will play the second of two neutral events at Los Serranos next Wednesday.
