Bobcats still perfect in OEC play

The Saddleback men's golf team improved to 12-0 in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play on Wednesday with a win at Los Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes.  Aidan Valdez shot even par to tie for medalist honors.

Valdez shot 71 on the 6,617-yard layout to tie with Cypress College's Alessandro Ravizzi.  One shot back was Saddleback's Declan Lane, who shot 72.

All five scoring players finished in the 70's for the Bobcats.  In addition to Valdez and Lane, Arthur Hess shot 74, Jack Shipton 75 and Carson Adams 77.

The 369 team total was the lowest total of the year and the third best score-to-par for the season (+14).  Saddleback shot +11 last week at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club and +12 at Navy Golf Course when the par was 72.

Saddleback is scheduled to play again on Monday at Costa Mesa Golf Club (Los Lagos Course).  The first tee time is scheduled for 11:00 AM.
