Bobcats fourth at opening tournament

The Saddleback men's golf team finished in fourth place at the Pt. Conception Open on Monday in Lompoc, California.  The Bobcats finished 12 shots off the lead and were just two shots out of second place for the two-day event.

Saddleback was led by Declan Lane and Aidan Devlin, who both shot a two-day total of 151 to finish in a tie for third place in medalist play.  Lane and Devlin were just one shot back of Cypress College's Willis Panzarello and College of the Canyons' Paul Hautbourg.  Lane had the low round for the Bobcats on Sunday when he shot 75 in cold and windy conditions.  Devlin led Saddleback with a round of 75 on Monday.

Rounding out the team score for Saddleback were Patrick Jaksch (77-79=156), Zachary Stout (83-79=162) and Denis Watson (82-80=162).

Saddleback will be back in action on February 9 when they travel to Soboba Springs for the Eagle Classic.
