The Saddleback football program is back in the news this week with the announcement that another member of the 2022 team has made a commitment to a four-year university. Running back Jordan Smith becomes the 17th member of the squad to make a commitment.
Smith will play at Colorado State University, located in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Rams play an NCAA DI schedule within the Mountain West Conference.
Smith finished with 144 yards rushing and two scores in nine games this past season. He also led the team in kickoff returns, averaging 25.8-per-return on nine chances. Following the season, Smith was named to the All-National Division Southern League Team as a kick-return specialist.
Smith came to Saddleback from Eastern Illinois University and graduated from Centennial High School (NV) in 2020.
