Bobcats take another off the board
The Saddleback football program was back in the news this week with the announcement that another member of the 2022 squad has made a commitment to a four-year university. Wide receiver Daniel Stokes makes it 16 commitments for the year.
Stokes committed to Minot State University, located in Minot, North Dakota. The Beavers play an NCCA DII schedule within the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
Stokes was an All-National Division Southern League Second Team selection in 2022, finishing with 26 receptions for 304 yards and three touchdowns. He played in 17 games at Saddleback over the past two seasons, totaling 34 receptions for 421 yards and four scores. During his freshman season, he was an all-conference selection as a kick return specialist.
Stokes lettered in football and track at James Madison High School before graduating in 2019. While at JMHS, Stokes was an honor roll student and team MVP while playing for a state championship team. In addition, he was an all-league and All-CIF selection.
