Two more cats on the move
The Saddleback football program has been on a roll in recent weeks, with a number of players committing to four-year universities. The Bobcats had two more roll in this week with Jayce Hunter and Brian Shearer.
Hunter will continue his career at UTEP after the Miners offered him an opportunity to be a part of the program in the future. The sophomore from local Capistrano Valley High School finished with 24 tackles for the season with one interception. UTEP is located in El Paso, Texas, and plays an NCAA DI schedule within the Conference USA.
Shearer was offered an opportunity at Angelo State University, located in San Angelo, Texas. The Rams play an NCAA DII schedule within the Lone Star Conference. Shearer played on the 2021 squad as a tight end. He came to Saddleback from Canyon View High School (UT).
The two commitments gives Saddleback nine players transferring to four-year universities after the early signing period.
