Another day, another DI commit

The Saddleback football program has had a sensational off-season and it continued on Wednesday with the announcement that another member of the 2022 squad has found a new home.  Tight end Billy Durocher committed to Liberty University for the seventh commitment of the year.

Durocher had offers from Liberty and Texas State and took a visit to Liberty this past week.  Upon returning, Durocher decided to give a commitment to the Flames.

Durocher is a 6-foot-4, 235-pound tight end from St. Charles North High School in Illinois.  He finished with nine receptions for 65 yards and two scores this past season, making the All-National Division Southern League Second Team.

Liberty is an NCAA DI program located in Lynchburg, Virginia.  The Flames will play in the Conference USA in 2023 after playing an independent schedule in previous years.

Durocher is commitment No. 7 for the program this season.  He is also the sixth to commit to an NCAA DI program.
