Another Bobcat on the move
The Saddleback football program is back in the news this week as another member of the 2022 squad has given a commitment to a four-year university. Defensive star Kanious Vaughn says he will play at UTEP in the future.
Vaughn had a sensational freshman campaign when he led the team in sacks and was named the Southern California Football Association Southern League Defensive MVP. Vaughn finished with 11 sacks for the season and 15 tackles-for-loss.
Vaughn picked up offers from UTEP, Idaho, Incarnate Word, Northern Arizona and Southern Utah in recent weeks and visited UTEP this past weekend. Upon returning he opted to commit to the Miners.
UTEP is located in El Paso, Texas, and plays an NCAA DI schedule within the Conference USA.
Vaughn is the sixth Saddleback player to commit since the end of the season, with many more expected in the coming months. He is also the fifth to commit to an NCAA DI program.
