Two more Cats on the move
The Saddleback football program was back in the news this week with the announcement that two more players from the 2021 team have given a commitment to a four-year university. Austin Yeager and Gavin Shafer are the latest to commit, bringing the total to 16 for the year.
Yeager gave a commitment to the University of Dayton while Shafer will play at Fort Lewis College.
Yeager played on the special teams in 2021 and came to Saddleback from Trabuco Hills High School. He committed to the University of Dayton, located in Dayton, Ohio. The Flyers play an NCAA DI schedule within the Pioneer League.
Shafer graduated from Saddleback Valley Christian High School and was a part of the defensive backs unit for the Bobcats. He committed to Fort Lewis College, located in Durango, Colorado. The Skyhawks play an NCAA DII schedule within the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Yeager and Shafer bring the total of Saddleback commitments to 16 for the year. '
