Davinni makes Pac 12 commitment

The Saddleback baseball team was back in the news on Wednesday when another member of the 2023 squad made a commitment to a four-year university.  Third baseman Michael Davinni says he will take his game to the Pac 12.

Davinni was solid for two straight seasons and was an All-Orange Empire Conference First Team selection this season.  He led the Bobcats in a number of offensive categories, leading in at-bats (223), runs-scored (60) and hits (83).  Davinni was also fourth in batting average (.372), second in home runs (5), second in RBI (51) and fourth in slugging percentage (.507) while playing in all 51 games.

Davinni's 83 hits in 2023 ranks as the fifth highest total for a single season in program history while his 60 runs-scored ranks ninth.  He played in 78 games in two seasons, batting .388 with nine home runs, 93 runs-scored and 88 RBI.  His 130 career hits ranks seventh in program history while his 88 RBI ranks eighth and his 93 runs-scored ranks 11th

Davinni committed to the University of Utah, located in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The Utes play an NCAA DI schedule with in the Pac-12 Conference. 

Davinni is the fourth member of the 2023 team to make a commitment to a four-year university.
