Another Bobcat commits

The Saddleback baseball program was back in the news this weekend with the announcement that another member of the team has made a commitment to a four-year university.  First baseman Luc Stuka becomes the second player in a week to announce his plans.

Stuka will play at Cal State Northridge, located in Northridge, California.  The Matadors play an NCAA DI schedule within the Big West Conference.

Stuka transferred to Saddleback from Cal State San Marcos after graduating from Corona del Mar High School.  While at CDM, Stuka was an All-Sunset League selection.

Stuka has played in 28 games this season, batting .360 for the year.  He currently leads the team with 40 hits for the season and is tied for the team lead in home runs (4).  Stuka has two, four-hit games for the year with 4-for-5 performances against College of the Canyons (Jan 27) and Cypress College (Mar 22).  He's currently enjoying a 10-game hitting streak, dating back to March 12.

Stuka is the second member of the team to commit to a four-year university, joining Michael Davinni (Coastal Carolina).
