Cats topple Glendale in opener
The Saddleback women's beach volleyball team opened the season with a 4-1 victory over Glendale College on Friday morning at Irvine Valley College. The Bobcats would fall to Palomar later in the day.
Saddleback opened the 2024 campaign needed just one victory in three matches after Glendale showed up with only six players and had to forfeit two matches. The Bobcats would take 2-of-3 remaining matches for a 4-1 victory.
Saddleback ended the match on court three where Bryn Craig-Kromm and Emma Delanghe made quick work of their opponents with a 21-3, 21-9 victory. Saddleback also defeated Glendale on court two as Sarah Patin (pictured) and Delaney Wilson scored a 21-15, 21-11 win over the 2's from Glendale.
Saddleback was scheduled to play Palomar College later in the day.
Saddleback will be back in action next Friday when they host Santa Monica College and San Diego City College at Irvine Valley College. Matches are scheduled to start at 10:00 next Friday.
