Gauchos finish off Dons in four

The Saddleback women's volleyball team picked up a 3-1 win against Santa Ana College on Friday in the Saddleback gymnasium.  The Gauchos will finish the season at home against Irvine Valley College on Tuesday.

Saddleback snapped a four-game losing streak with the win on Friday and was looking to rebound from a heartbreaking 5-set loss at Fullerton on Wednesday.  The Gauchos bounced back nicely, taking care of business to wrap up seventh place in the Orange Empire Conference.

Saddleback started quickly, winning the first two sets 25-19 and 25-22 to take a commanding lead.  Santa Ana bounced back with a 25-23 win in game three, holding off a late rally from the Gauchos.  Saddleback then set the record straight in the fourth set by cruising to a 25-16 win.

Saddleback is now 10-13 overall and 5-10 in OEC play heading into the final match of the season against inter-district rival Irvine Valley.  The two squads will finish off the regular season on Tuesday night in the Saddleback gymnasium.  Match time is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
