Beda says yes to Claflin

The Saddleback women's basketball program was back in the news this week with the announcement that one of its players has signed at a four-year university.  Gaucho Joice Beda will take her game to Claflin University, located in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Beda spent only one season with Saddleback but quickly made her presence known.  She was named to the All-Orange Empire Conference First Team at the end of the season and set a program record in the process.  Beda led the 2018-19 squad in scoring (15.7), rebounding (14.1) and steals (2.4) while playing over 34 minutes-per-game.  In addition, she set the program's single-game record when she had 25 rebounds against Orange Coast College on February 14. 

Claflin plays an NCAA DII schedule within the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.  The Panthers finished 15-14 overall in 2018-19
