Bio

During the summer of 2000, Mark Blethen took over both the men's and women's cross country programs as well as the men's and women's track & field programs at Saddleback College. With the hiring of Matt Sherman in 2010, Blethen retained his head coaching position of the track and field teams but will took on an assistant coaching role with the cross country program.

Coach Blethen began his coaching career at San Luis Obispo High School, then quickly moved on to the collegiate level where he coached nine seasons at the community college level and two seasons at the University of Delaware.
