McArthur makes his choice

McArthur makes his choice

The Saddleback men's track & field team was back in the news this week when the T&F office announced that hammer thrower Eric McArthur had signed a letter of intent to a four-year university.  McArthur will take his talents to the University of Wyoming where he will compete for the Cowboys.

McArthur was a pillar of consistency during his two years at Saddleback, winning the state hammer title at the CCCAA State Championships in May after finishing second as a freshman.  He also won the Orange Empire Conference title in 2018 and his toss of 55.12 meters at the Prairie War Invitational earlier this season ranks 7th all-time in program history.

McArthur signed a letter of intent to the University of Wyoming, located in Laramie, Wyoming.  The Cowboys compete in the Mountain West Conference and finished sixth at the MWC Championships in May.

McArthur graduated from Dana Hills High School in 2014, where he lettered in basketball.  He is the second member of the 2018 Gaucho men's track & field team to sign a scholarship to a four-year university.

2018 Team Commitments:
