Bio

Bud Davis took over the Saddleback men's tennis program in the spring of 2010. In addition to being a member of the Saddleback staff, Davis has worked with junior players at Nellie Gail for 15 years, developing a great reputation with the local community.

Davis grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, where he started playing tennis at the age of 25. He quickly became a sensation, winning the New Hampshire state doubles title in 1977 before moving west in 1978.

Davis was the Head Tennis Professional at Westlake Village Tennis Club from 1978-1992. In addition, Davis coached the Westlake Village High School program to two league titles.

Davis was then the coach at Moorpark College for four years where he once earned the Coach of the Year honors for the Raiders.

Davis earned his BS degree from Lowell Tech (MA) and later his MBA from Rivers College (NH). As a player, Davis won multiple doubles and mixed doubles events as a part of the USPTA.
