Six Gauchos qualify, another named alternate
The Saddleback men's tennis team finished up Orange Empire Conference play at the OEC Finals last weekend at Fullerton College. The Gauchos had six players qualify for the state tournament in Ojai, with another being named an alternate.
Shayan Haddad Kaveh, Tyler Edwards, Lucas Fortt, Chris Torcaso, Oliver Ludwig and Ryan Burns all qualified while Anthony Tran will head to Ojai as an alternate.
Saddleback has two doubles teams seeded at the state tournament as the team of Edwards and Torcaso will be seeded No. 10 at the state tournament while the dup of Haddad Kaveh and Fortt will start as the No. 25 seed. The Gauchos also have three individuals seeded in singles play as Edwards is seeded 14th, Haddad Kaveh 19th and Torcaso 21st.
The California Community College Athletic Association State Tournament takes place in Ojai, California, on April 24-28.
