Poorsina says yes to Humboldt State

The Saddleback men's basketball program was back in the news on Thursday when the basketball office announced that sophomore Arash Poorsina had made a commitment to a four-year university.  Poorsina committed to Humboldt State University.

Poorsina was a Second Team All-Orange Empire Conference selection in 2018-19 when he averaged 7.5 points and 5.9 rebounds-per-game in helping the Gauchos win the OEC title.  He scored 268 points with 149 rebounds and 49 blocks in two seasons for the Gauchos, playing in 56 games. 

Humboldt State is an NCAA D2 program located in Arcata, California.  The Lumberjacks finished 17-14 overall in 2018-19 and 11-11 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. 

Poorsina is the third member of the 2018-19 team to sign with a four-year university.
