Gaucho cheer has big showing in Anaheim

The Saddleback cheer squad performed at the USA College Camp and walked away with a number of awards.  The Gauchos competed against programs from 30 other schools nationwide, winning the Unity Award for the second straight year.

Saddleback had seven athletes given spirit stars in the prelims, the most from any one school.  In addition, the advanced stunt group of Allie Leyva, Whitney Tarrant, Tesla Clary and Allison Ho won their event and joined Brooke Harris, Monet Wahlrab, Tarryn Warn and Dasjah Wilson as spirit stars.

The Unity Award is given to the team that displays the most teamwork, camaraderie, spirit and great behavior.  It is the second consecutive season the Saddleback cheer team has won this distinguished award at the event.

The camp took place at the Anaheim Convention Center on July 29-31.
