Bobcats garner the 3-seed

The Saddleback women's water polo team was seeded No. 3 for the upcoming 3C2A Southern California Regional Tournament this week.  The Bobcats get a bye in the opening round and will play on Friday at Citrus College.

Saddleback will play the winner of Ventura College and Los Angeles Valley College, who play on Thursday at 3:15 PM.  The Bobcats will face the winner on Friday at 5:45 PM. 

Saddleback finished the regular season 20-10 overall and 5-2 in the Orange Empire Conference.  The Bobcats have faced both potential opponents this season, defeating Ventura twice while beating Los Angeles Valley once.  Saddleback beat Ventura, 14-8, on opening weekend and again, 10-6, at the Mt. San Antonio College Tournament in late September.  The Bobcats defeated LA Valley, 19-7, in mid-September at the Riverside City Tournament.

With four teams from each region making the 3C2A State Tournament this year, Saddleback would qualify for the tournament with a win in the game on Friday. 

Two other Orange Empire Conference teams made the field for the regional tournament, with Riverside City College getting the No. 2 seed and Orange Coast College getting the No. 4 seed.
