The Saddleback women's water polo team is getting hot at the right time and won four straight games at the Citrus College Tournament this past weekend in Glendora.  The Bobcats are now 15-9 for the year.

Saddleback defeated American River College, Cuesta College, Redlands University and host Citrus in cruising through the tournament.

The Bobcats opened with a 15-12 win against American River on Friday morning.  Saddleback and ARC were locked in a close battle in the final quarter before the Bobcats made a push to put away the Beavers.  Leading 12-11 midway through the quarter, Saddleback received goals from Carson Mackenzie, Aaliyah Burns and Marin Hickson to grab a 15-11 lead with under two minutes remaining.

Saddleback finished the day with an 18-12 victory over Cuesta.  Carson Mackenzie (pictured) and Akemi Nakachi both had four goals to pace the Bobcats as Saddleback had a 5-1 lead after the opening quarter and never looked back.

Saddleback opened Saturday play with a 14-9 win against the University of Redlands.  The Bobcats and Bulldogs were locked in a close battle midway through the third quarter when Saddleback went on a run.   Katie Butler scored a couple of late goals to put away Redlands, finishing with a team-high five goals for the game.

Saddleback finished against host Citrus on Saturday afternoon.  The Bobcats trailed after one quarter (2-3) before kicking things into gear.  Burns and Mackenzie led Saddleback with four goals apiece.
