The Saddleback women's water polo team had another dominating performance this week, beating Santa Ana College 17-6. The Gauchos were led by freshman Maddie Alexander.
Saddleback rifled shot after shot against Santa Ana, finishing with 27 shots on goal. Alexander was the most proficient, scoring six times in seven attempts. The freshman from Clovis now leads the team with 58 goals for the year. Alexander was backed up by Lauren Kenney and Hylah Prussak, who both finished with three goals apiece.
Kate Curtis played all four quarters in the nets, finishing with seven saves in 13 attempts.
Saddleback is now 11-10 overall and 2-4 in Orange Empire Conference play. The Gauchos will play in the Halloween Tournament in Santa Barbara this weekend.
