Armstrong says yes to Marymount

Saddleback three-sport athlete Landry Armstrong has given a verbal commitment to play both indoor volleyball and beach volleyball at Marymount University, according to the volleyball office.  Armstrong has spent the past two years playing both volleyball and basketball for the Gauchos.

Marymount University is located in Palos Verdes, California, and plays under the NAIA umbrella in the California Pacific Conference.  The Mariners have officially added both indoor and beach volleyball to their athletic program for the coming year.

Armstrong was a part of a Saddleback indoor program that set a number of program records this past season when they finished 19-9 overall and 12-4 in Orange Empire Conference play.  She played in 25 matches for the Gauchos, finishing with 88 digs and 23 assists.  In addition she also played on the beach last spring for Saddleback, helping the Gauchos win their first-ever match in beach volleyball.

Armstrong has also been a part of the women's basketball program at Saddleback the past two seasons, playing in 51 games for the Gauchos.

Armstrong attended Combs High School in San Tan Valley, Arizona.
