The Saddleback women's volleyball team is back to .500 in Orange Empire Conference play after a 3-1 win over Santa Ana College on Wednesday night in Santa Ana. The Gauchos ended a six-game losing streak and now stand at 1-1 in conference play.
Saddleback started conference play with a tough 3-2 loss to Orange Coast last week so it was imperative that they got off to a quick start on Wednesday. They responded by winning the first two game, 25-13 and 25-21, opening a 2-0 lead over the Dons.
Santa Ana fought back, taking game three by a count of 25-19 before the Gauchos ended the match with a 25-18 win in game four.
Saddleback improved to 4-6 overall and 1-1 in conference play. The Gauchos moved into a tie for third place with the win.
Saddleback will travel to Golden West College to take on the Rustlers (5-5) on Friday. The match is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM.
