Bio

Matt Sherman joined the Saddleback Cross Country program as an assistant coach in 2002 before being hired full-time as the head coach of the women's cross country and track programs in 2010. He has helped to develop both the men's and women's cross country programs and has enjoyed a tremendous amount of success while working with the middle distance and distance runners on the track and field teams.

Sherman earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2002 and recently added a M.A. in education. Sherman started his coaching career at Cuesta Community College in 1997 where he worked as an assistant coach for both men's and women's cross country and track and field until 2002.
