Former Bobcat wins Big West award

The Saddleback women's track & field program was back in the news this past week with the news that former Bobcat Jolie Robinson was named the Big West Conference Field Athlete-of-the-Week.  Robinson currently has the best score in the country in the heptathlon.

Robinson had a big weekend at the UC Riverside Spring Classic when she totaled 5,213 points to win the event.  Robinson established a person record in the 200 meters (25.28) with season-bests in both the high jump (5'2.5") and shot put (38'2.25").  She also won the javelin with a toss of 135'9".

Robinson's point total of 5,213 is currently the top score in the nation this season.

Robinson led Saddleback to a third place finish at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Finals in 2022.  She won three events at the state meet and was named the California Community College Sports Information (CCCSIA) Athlete-of-the-Month as a result.

Robinson shattered the program record in the heptathlon with 4,651 points at the state finals.  She also captured the state title in both the javelin and long jump.  As a result, Robinson was named the Outstanding Women's Field Performer at the 3C2A State Meet.
