Avilez earns all-conference

The Saddleback women's tennis season came to a close two weeks back, which means it is time for the coaches to select the All-Orange Empire Conference Team.  Kaitlyn Avilez was selected to the team for the Gauchos after a successful freshman season that took her all the way to Ojai.

Avilez won her first match at the state tournament before getting knocked out of the tournament in the round of 32.  The freshman from Trabuco Hills also teamed with Siena Rosnagle in doubles play, where they were knocked out of the state tournament in the round of 64.

Avilez was 1-of-8 athletes selected to the team from various programs in the conference.
