Melkonian and Parks advance at state tournament

The Saddleback women’s tennis team had four players advance to the CCCAA state tournament this week held in Ojai and Ventura. Jacklyn Melkonian and Kristina Parks are still playing after Melkonian won in singles and teamed with Parks to advance in doubles.

The Saddleback women’s tennis team had four athletes qualify for the state tournament at Ojai, California, on April 27-29. Three singles players and two doubles teams will compete for a state title.

The Saddleback women’s tennis team closed out its final home match of the 2018 season with a 9-0 win over Cypress College on Tuesday at the Saddleback Tennis Complex. The Gauchos sit in fourth place with one match to go in the 2018 season.

The Saddleback women’s tennis team won its first conference match of the season with a 5-4 victory over Fullerton College on Friday on the Saddleback Courts. The Gauchos had three, two-time winners on the day.
