Green records second straight hat trick

The Saddleback women's soccer team improved to 4-0 with a 3-0 win at College of the Canyons on Friday night in Santa Clarita.  Chloe Green scored all three goals in a 12-minute span.

The two teams were scoreless heading into the second half despite the Bobcats outshooting the Cougars 12-3 in the opening 45 minutes.  Green then went to work, scoring her first goal in the 49th minute off a pass from Emma Radzai.  She quickly turned around and connected less than two minutes later to give the Bobcats a 2-0 lead.  Green then scored in the 61st minute for a 3-0 advantage to complete her second straight hat trick of the season.

Green has scored in every game so far this season, and currently sits in a tie for the state lead in goals-scored with Allan Hancock's Cynthia Ramirez and El Camino's Allison Sibley.  She is within four goals of her total last season (14) when she played in 23 games.

Saddleback recorded a third straight shutout on Friday behind the goalkeeping of Dublin Synnott, who made three saves in the game.  The Bobcats have now gone 323 minutes without surrendering a goal.

Saddleback will play again on Friday when they host Cerritos College.  The Bobcats and Falcons are scheduled to start at 3:00 PM inside the stadium.
